[T4W1] Peer Survey+ Group Interview

3 main things covered: 1. CID Final Reflections 2. Peer Survey 3. Group Interview As we are coming to end of our CID journey, this CID session really made me reflect on my past journey and how i have chosen this module, despite not knowing what is there to come. I feel like i really have benefited a lot in terms of skills, and at the same time having fun in what I'm doing. This session helped me to conclude what i have learnt in this whole year, and brought an end to my CID Journey!

[T3W9] Lesson 20: Oral Presentation

3 main things covered: 1. Our OP 2. Q&A Session 3. Other groups OP Our OP went smoothly, and we managed to address all our points without running out of time. However, during the Q&A, we were asked difficult questions and me and my groupmates had a hard time trying to answer these questions. Nonetheless, we gave our personal feelings and answer on that question. I was relieved that our presentation had ended and felt that we could have done better in other aspects as well, such as our motive of coming up with this and why our project was special. Other groups did a good job in answering question posed to them as well, and I could see how much effort and work they put it to complete it.

[T3W8] Lesson 19: OP Rehearsal

3 main things covered: 1. Our Oral Presentation 2. Feedback on our OP 3. Other groups presentation We had our rehearsal for our OP Presentation, and the main aim was for us to have a mini try out of the actual presentation, so that we can gain feedback on how to improve as well. While presenting, we had mistakes where we did not touch on a point, or forgot about some points as well. Our group realised that we had to be more prepared for the actual OP next week to prevent mistakes and so that we can have a smooth presentation. Also, while watching other groups, I personally saw that there are different ways to present our product, and learned fro the feedback that was given to other groups as well. The other groups did a good job on their projects and I felt that our whole CID Team really improved our skills and learnt things in a short period of time, to complete our project.

[T3W6] Lesson 18: Finalisation of project

3 main things covered: 1. Finishing up website 2. Linking Javascript games to our website 3. Linking Database together. As we were supposed to finish up our project by this week, we had very little time to finish and tie up loose ends. As the database was finished already, we decided to link it to our webpage. However, we didn't have enough time and knowledge on how to link database to our webpage, and thus had to manually input games by ourselves first. We had the overall website up already and only thing left was to finish our Oral presentation. I learnt that the whole group needs to come together to finish this project, and that we have to have homework in order for the project to do well.

[T3W5] Lesson 17: STARTATHON! + Final Project

3 main things covered: 1. Startathon Junior Briefing 2. Startathon Junior  3. Finishing of final product It was compulsory for us to attend Startathon junior, and i formed a group with friends from other CID groups. At first, I did not want to participate as i felt that it was just wasting my time. However, after spending time with my groupmates and coming up with an idea, i changed my attitude and was interested in completing our project. One of the hardest times for me was when we had to stay up all night to finish our project, after our previous idea was not feasible. I depended on my friend that night and slept only a little that night to finish the project. Overall it was a good experience to have, and i was able to use by HTML and CSS skills to come u with a webpage for the competition as well. Although we didn't win, it made me learn and have fun at the same time.

[T3W3] Lesson 16: Final Project Work

2 main things covered: 1. HTML CSS Learning 2. Coming together to put up our webpage in one computer I continued learning CSS, and experimented with different styles and functions to come up with a nice design. My groupmate was having troubles with his database and we came together as a group to figure out where was the problem. In the end, it was because of a minor spelling mistake. I learnt that we always ave to be careful when coding, as different things may not come up like what we expected it to be. At the end, we consolidated all different codes into one laptop that we could run on.

[T3W2] Lesson 15: Distribution of roles+ Update on project

2 main things covered: 1. Distribution of different roles for our Group Project 2. Update of timeline and datelines Today our mentors asked about our progress for our group project, and helped us to divide up the jobscope between us.  I was in charge of doing HTML and CSS, and my other groupmates were doing Database and Python. I continued my learning on Udacity.com and tested out a few examples on how boxes and width of different webpages work.  We also updated our own timeline on when to finish the project by, and we realised that we only have 3 weeks left to complete our final product!
